Michelle is a feline health and nutrition advocate. When her heart cat, Fluff, was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma, she became his fervent advocate. She dedicated hours each day to reading veterinary scholarly journals and immersing herself in the growing body of data around the microbiome and companion animal health and nutrition. It is the knowledge and skills that she developed from her research and personal experience with a cat with multiple complicated medical conditions that lead her to become an admin for the Raw Feeding for IBD Cats facebook group, where she has dedicated the last six years to educating owners on biologically appropriate balanced raw diets, managing feline medical conditions, and helping owners advocate and obtain better veterinary care. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English from a California State University, and has completed postgraduate coursework in research. She is currently enrolled in the Canine and Feline Nutrition Certificate Program at Southern Illinois University.
